PsyWell boasts a highly professional and skilled team of counsellors. Our team members are graduates from prestigious universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and UCL, with expertise in fields including behavioural science, psychology, education, and sociology. All our counsellors are certified professionals in China and the UK, with an average of over six years of experience in psychological counselling and related fields.
With their extensive experience, our counsellors are not only patient listeners but also insightful observers and careful guides. They are dedicated to using their professional knowledge and skills to help clients effectively address a wide range of psychological and emotional issues, promoting mental well-being and personal growth.
Liu, Christine Principal Counsellor
Christine, graduated from University of Oxford with a major in social psychology and behavior. She is a certified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling Society (NCS), holding professional credentials from the International Coaching Federation.
Her expertise includes addressing areas related to depression and anxiety, such as postpartum depression, generalized anxiety disorder, and OCD interventions, as well as intergenerational trauma and parent-child relationships. Christine is trained in psychodynamic and humanistic approaches and integrates various modalities to meet client needs. To ensure the quality of her consultations, she engages in regular personal therapy, group, and individual supervision.


BAI, Vanessa Senior COUnsellor
PhD in Developmental and Clinical Psychology from University College London. She has workedat the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Cambridge, at the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, in the Student Support and Wellbeing Centre at University College London and in the Mental Health Department of Triple A Hospital in China.
She has extensive clinical and research experience in the area of interventions for depression and other psychological symptoms in minors and children, as well as many years of case management experience in the area of general psychological distress in adults (under 30 years old), such as anxiety, depression and low self-perception.

Li, Jo Senior Counsellor
(Fully BOOKED)
Jo Li specialises in eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder) and autism in adults and adolescents. She is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Neurogenic Feeding Research at the University of Oxford and has a PhD in Psychological Medicine Research from King's College London and a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University.
She has extensive knowledge of motivational, cognitive, emotional, and behavioural difficulties in eating disorders, and a wealth of experience counselling and intervening in eating disorders and eating difficulties. She is a registered member of the BPS and certified ADOS-2 examiner. She is under regular supervision accumulating to 100 and 200 minutes per month.

Meizhen LI Senior Counsellor
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (Hons) from the University of Southampton, a Master’s in Health Psychology from University College London (UCL), BACP-registered psychotherapist with extensive clinical training in NHS-affiliated mental health services, including Shoreham-by-Sea CAMHS and the West Sussex Dementia Service. Her professional experience spans NHS Mill View Hospital, the Samaritans charity, and autism support organizations, where she has provided psychological support and interventions for diverse populations.
Meizhen’s therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy. She has particular experience supporting individuals with challenges related to cross-cultural identity and migration adjustment, attachment patterns and relationship dynamics, anxiety, low mood, and existential concerns, as well as grief, loss, life transitions, and questions around self-worth, identity, and personal growth.

HUANG,WEITING Senior Counsellor (CBT)
Graduated from Newcastle University and Certified by the National Council for Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP) and the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). With over three years of experience, she specialises in combining cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) with hypnotherapy to address clients' mental health needs.
Weiting focuses on prenatal anxiety, postnatal depression, relationship and family dynamics, interpersonal challenges, and academic or work-related stress. She also uses hypnotherapy for mindful eating and addiction cessation. Her approach is warm, analytical, and creative. With over 10 years of experience in education and mental health, including teaching at Newcastle University Business School, Weiting offers empathetic support to overseas Chinese professionals and cross-cultural families.

Yu,Chu-Chun
Senior Art Therapist | Child Psychotherapist (ADHD, ASD)
HCPC-Registered Art Therapist (UK), registered member of the American Art Therapy Association (AATA), a board-certified member of the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB), and a certified professional member of the Taiwan Art Therapy Association. She holds a degree in Creative Arts Therapy Counselling from Hofstra University and integrates psychodynamic, humanistic, and insight-oriented approaches in her practice. With over seven years of experience in art therapy and child education, she has worked in the psychiatric department of Brooklyn Hospital (adult services), Chicago Children's Behavioral Hospital, and various educational and medical centers in the United States and Taiwan.
She specialises in supporting children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), low social skills, and common psychological challenges. Additionally, she has extensive experience in addressing parent-child interaction difficulties, adult personal growth, and self-awareness development.

Niu,FLora Senior Counsellor
MSc in Counselling Studies from the University of Edinburgh, with professional training in psychological counselling from the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Over four years of experience in the mental health field, with a strong focus on cross-cultural counselling and LGBTQ+ issues.
Flora specialises in working with adults aged 18–40, addressing relationship difficulties, family-of-origin issues, interpersonal challenges, and emotional regulation. She integrates psychodynamic and humanistic approaches to support clients in exploring unconscious patterns, enhancing self-awareness, and fostering emotional integration and stability. She is committed to providing a safe, structured, and trusting therapeutic space to support self-healing and growth. She engages in weekly individual and group supervision to ensure continuous professional development.

GU, Fangzhou Counsellor
Bachelor degree in Social Psychology (New York University); Doctoral candidate in Counselling and Psychotherapy (University of Edinburgh); a COSCA-certified counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). With over three years of counselling experience, she has worked across various online and in-person settings in Scotland and England, including at the University of Edinburgh Student Counselling Service.
Fangzhou specializes in supporting clients with cross-cultural adjustment, anxiety and stress, interpersonal relationships, trauma recovery, and issues related to self-esteem and confidence. Her practice is grounded in a strong therapeutic alliance, offering a safe space for self-exploration and a stable support system. She works from a foundation of equality, warmth, and non-judgment, embodying the person-centred principle of unconditional positive regard while integrating psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches. She receives over 360 minutes of individual and group supervision each month to ensure ongoing professional growth.

ZHANG,LIJIE Expert of Art therapy
Bachelor degree from Fudan University, Master degree from University of Cambridge, majoring in picture book illustration and art design. She has led or participated in the editing of a number of children's psychological series of picture books, including The Life Journey of a Lotus Seed & Smelly Science, Love to Talk. With more than 10 years of experience in picture book creation and spiritual healing.
Lijie believes that painting is an important step in the exploration and presentation of the inner world of healing . Lijie joined PSYWELL Psychology in early 2022 and launched Art Healing Series Consultation Program that combines spiritual healing and artistic imagination to help visitors heal their wounds with beautiful brushstrokes and brilliant colors and find their own safe haven.

LIU,JIAJIE expert in Positive Psychology
Psywell expert in Positive Psychology at Tsinghua University and a distinguished academic advisor He serves as a lecturer at the Social Psychology Services Research Center of Tsinghua University's School of Social Sciences. Liu holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Oxford and has previously worked at the London office of Bank of America Merrill Lynch and served as a board member at Brockenhurst College, a public secondary school in the UK. He has translated "The Gardener and the Carpenter" and "Lifespan: Why We Age—and Why We Don’t Have To." Liu has also contributed to the writing of "The Science of Happiness" and "Tsinghua Positive Education Curriculum Compilation."

ZHAO,JIE Senior Counsellor(CBT)
Certified cognitive behavioral therapist, Satia family therapist, family education instructor, learning ability instructor, and intermediate social worker .
Her rich experience in interacting with teenagers has helped her establish a deep understanding of adolescent behavioral challenges and family relationships. She has rich successful intervention experience in dealing with adolescent oppositional and defiant behaviors such as persistent and frequent hostility, defiance, and opposition to parents, as well as school aversion, procrastination, social phobia, interpersonal difficulties, test anxiety, learning disabilities, addiction/dependency, and difficulties in adapting to the environment .
