PSYCHODYNAMIC
Psychodynamic therapy is a psychotherapeutic approach that delves deeply into an individual's psychological and emotional life, rooted in Freud's psychoanalytic theory. During psychodynamic therapy, therapists work with individuals to explore their past experiences, particularly significant events in early family and interpersonal relationships, and how these experiences have shaped their personality, beliefs, and behaviors. At PSYWELL, our psychodynamic therapists are not only rigorously trained in psychodynamic principles but also educated in other psychotherapeutic theories and techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and humanistic psychology.
